KindaKafe will be embarking on an exciting new chapter and we hope you will join us!
To help us ‘build back better’ after the challenges of COVID-19 and to help our beneficiaries not only survive in this new world but also thrive we are relaunching KindaKafe as a community hub available for use by registered members.
Much of what you have come to love and expect from KindaKafe will remain. You can always look forward to a warm welcome, a friendly smile, a cracking cuppa and so much more.
We’ll be announcing more information about our new membership scheme soon so watch this space!
The decision to not reopen the cafe was a difficult one but we would like to thank you to everyone who has supported KindaKafe over the years and we hope to see you again soon as we launch the community hub.
Have you got an idea to bring people together?
We don’t know about you but we’re looking forward to a time where we can all be together again. We miss our board games nights and all the other amazing events and activities which brought people together at KindaKafe for a fun and friendly gathering.
Last year was tough and we know a lot of people are still struggling. There are so many amazing volunteers and organisations working to keep people safe and connected during this difficult time. If you or someone you know of needs support you can find lots of helpful information on LUMi.
We’re pleased Government guidance has enabled our existing support groups to continue meeting at KindaKafe. We’re now looking ahead and preparing for when we’re able to host more groups and activities once restrictions are gradually relaxed.
As we’ve shared, things are going to be different at KindaKafe but one thing’s for sure our commitment to bringing people together and reducing loneliness and social isolation in Norwich remains the same.
And that’s where you can help.
Do you have an idea for a community group or activity and need help getting started?
Has the COVID-19 pandemic inspired an idea for a new community group or activity that will help bring people together? Need some help getting started?
Over the next few months we’ll be providing a range of support to help people explore ideas for community groups and activities and to work on their plans.
We can help you turn your ideas into action and connect you with helpful resources and like-minded individuals to join up with.
Why not enquire about the support available to help you get started today?
Are you part of an existing community group that is looking for somewhere new to meet?
We have some fantastic COVID-Secure meeting spaces available for use by community groups. If your group helps to reduce loneliness and social isolation we may be able to offer you free or subsidised meeting space, as well as support to grow and develop your group, through our new community membership scheme.
